Thinking of joining?

We have over 80 swimmers of mixed abilities and ages and we're always delighted to hear from prospective new members. We welcome swimmers who can already swim lengths and would benefit from the structure and coaching provided by our top class coach, Josie Hoare. Lanes in our sessions are divided into ability and there is bound to be one to suit your pace.

We ask that you are comfortable swimming lengths, otherwise it is difficult to fit into lane swimming and you may benefit more from swimming lessons before joining us. STAM is a coaching and training club rather than a teaching club and we do look for a certain basic standard of swimming proficiency from potential new joiners.

Please get in touch with one of our membership team (Neil, Alex or Jason) and we can arrange an evening for you to come along and get all the information you need and have a swim if you want to.

The role of the Welfare Officer provides a first point of contact for swimmers and volunteers within the club who have a safeguarding or welfare concern. They also promote the importance of Wavepower - Swim England’s Safeguarding Policy. This ensures that all swimmers and volunteers are fully aware of the duty of care that we all have to our members.

Alex Walker is the Club Welfare Officer and the point of contact for any person who has a concern about safeguarding and welfare – please feel free to contact Alex via the email address above.
